In this regard, the Chief Engineer of Eastern Railway Subaktagin told the media that the planning of the bullet project is going to be finalized by the representatives of China Railway Design Corporation. they’re going to come to Bangladesh in December. The project will then attend ECNEC for approval after determining the quantity of expenditure. Work will start after getting approval from there.
It is learned that the proposed bullet will undergo Fatullah in Narayanganj. If a high-speed train line is made from Dhaka to Chittagong via Comilla or Laksam, it’ll take but an hour to travel on this route. If the railway is extended to Cox’s Bazar, it’ll be easier to visit the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar.
The approved cost of the survey of the project was 100 crore 89 lakh 29 thousand takas. The project was to be implemented between 01 January 2016 and 31 March 2019. However, thanks to rising dollar prices and rising costs within the consulting sector, feasibility studies and detailed design projects are delayed.
