Local MP Mamunur Rashid Kiran has fielded his brother Khaled Saifullah as a ‘rebel’ candidate as he didn’t just like the party’s candidate.
The situation is analogous within the Dhunat municipality of Bogra. TI Nurnabi has been nominated for the team here. Incumbent mayor AGM Badshah was the well-liked candidate of local MP Habibur Rahman. it’s been alleged that Badshah is within the field as a rebel candidate with the assistance of MP as Nurnabi got the boat symbol. within the last municipal elections, Badshah was elected as a rebel candidate. The BNP candidate got 95 votes. the entire number of voters was 1,700. The incident happened in Arani municipality of Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi on Saturday. There are allegations that the rebel candidate Muktar Ali has won with the blessings of the state minister for foreign affairs. Awami League candidate Shahiduzzaman Shahid said, “He faced many obstacles while campaigning. Didn’t get any help from the administration.
