The government has extended the Mujib Borsho celebrations for an additional year thanks to the worldwide epidemic. the cupboard Division has sent a proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office to increase the Mujib Borsho thanks to the Corona epidemic. The Prime Minister agreed.
According to sources within the Cabinet Division, it had been proposed to increase the deadline for celebrating Mujib Borsho till December 16, 2021. A notification during this regard could also be issued on Sunday (December 13).

‘Mujib Borsho’ is that the birth centenary celebration of Father of the state Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu, the festival was to be celebrated grandly through various programs from St Patrick’s Day, 2020. However, thanks to the coronavirus situation, all arrangements are limited. The celebration was to continue till March 26, 2021.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the daddy of the state of Bangladesh, was born on 17 March 1920 in East Bengal (now Tungipara village in Gopalganj district of Bangladesh).
Besides, March 26, 2021, will mark the half-century anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence. The declared year is of special significance as Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was deeply involved within the freedom struggle of Bangladesh.
