Earlier on Sunday (January 10th), Narayanganj district Awami League president Abdul Hai and general secretary Abu Hasnat Shahid Badal approved a 71-member full committee. M Saifullah Badal was elected president and Shawkat Ali general secretary at the Fatullah Thana Awami League conference on December 6, 2019, at Nom Park adjacent to Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium. the complete committee approved 13 months after the conference.
The biggest surprise within the committee is Shamim’s son Ayon Osman. After the approval of the committee of Fatullah Thana Awami League on Sunday, congratulations and good wishes flowed through social media. Ayon Osman has been the foremost congratulated. When he posted online news on his Facebook page, it got quite 7,000 shares.
According to party sources, Shamim Osman’s wife Salam Osman Lipi and son Ayon Osman are standing by the people in various crises albeit they need not hold any post within the Awami League for therefore long. Osman Lipi is serving because of the chairman of the district women’s organization. AKM Nasim Osman, the eldest son of this family, was elected a Member of Parliament fourfold on behalf of the Jatiya Party. Selim Osman, the eldest son of the family, is popular as both a baron and a Member of Parliament.
AKM Shamim Osman, the youngest son of the family, is understood as an influential leader in Awami League politics in Narayanganj. The influential leader has been elected as a Member of Parliament for the third time from Narayanganj-4 (Fatulla-Siddhirganj) constituency in 1996, 2014, and therefore the last Eleventh Parliamentary Elections.
