He was speaking at a reception organized by the Companiganj Civil Society at the Basurhat Government Mujib College ground on Wednesday (January 27) evening.
Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader were scheduled to address the reception as the chief guest. But in the end, he did not speak. For this reason, his younger brother Quader Mirza got angry with him.
At the time, he said, those who did not come with the virtual program, have bowed to anti-politics. I hate surrendering to anti-politics. Those who bow to anti-politics did not even congratulate my voters.
Mirza Quader further said, “We are not like Ekram Chowdhury who will hand over arms to his own child.” The day my child takes up arms, the day I die.
He criticized Ekram Chowdhury’s wife Kabirhat Upazila Parishad Chairman Shiuli Ekram and said that the picture of a woman sitting in a liquor chat with a man goes viral on Facebook again, she can never be good.
Abdul Quader Mirza asked, “Mr. Obaidul Quader, how did you surrender, how did you surrender?” Was my father a Razakar? Mr. Obaidul Quader, your father Mosharraf Hossain is not a Razakar, he was the headmaster of Basurhat High School. And surrendering to those who call my family Razakars.
