He came to Facebook Live from his verified Facebook ID at 12:10 pm on Thursday (January 21). Meanwhile, a storm of protest has erupted on social media against Ekramul Karim Chowdhury’s statement.
In this 26-second video clip, he said, “Indigenous people, slamalaikum.” If I speak, I will be able to not speak against Mirza Quader, I will be able to speak against Obaidul Quader. A Razakar husband coming to the present stage cannot rule his brother. I will be able to mention these within the next few days. If the district committee doesn’t come to me, I will be able to start with it.
Turning to his Facebook ID, he immediately removed the live video from his Facebook ID. Earlier in the day, his video statement went viral on social media Facebook.
When contacted by Ekramul Karim Chowdhury MP on his mobile, he said that albeit the video was removed, the statement he made against the family of the Awami League general secretary was true and he had spoken the reality. However, Obaidul Quader MP may be an insurgent. For an extended time, his younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza has been making random speeches with Awami League leaders at different levels. But he said this because he couldn’t control his brother.
