The path Rationalization Committee has finalized 22 companies and 42 routes to franchise bus routes as a part of restoring discipline publicly transport within the capital. From April 1, pilot franchise management is going to be introduced on the Ghatarchar-Motijheel route within the first phase. Other routes also will be brought under this technique in phases.

The decision was taken at a gathering of the path Rationalization Committee at Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday (December 6). DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh presided over the meeting.
Some decisions are taken within the board meeting after judging and analyzing various issues. The proposals of twenty-two companies in 9 clusters and 42 routes are finalized by the experts on path rationalization. within the light of this, initially, a franchise system is going to be introduced as a pilot a part of a route from Ghatarchar to Motijheel. Soon discipline will return to conveyance. Dhaka residents also will benefit. Barrister Taposh told reporters after the meeting.
He said initially 175 buses would run on the Ghatarchar-Motijheel route. The owner will make a venture agreement to make the corporate within the amount before the subsequent meeting.
Atiqul Islam, mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), said, “Both of our mayors promised to offer a present to the traffic-free Dhaka city.” there’s tons of traffic during this city and there’s a competition to travel from one bus to a different. SM Saleh Uddin, Secretary-General of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association Khandaker Enayet Ullah, President of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association Ajmal Uddin Ahmed, Organizing Secretary Advocate Mahbubur Rahman, et al. were present.
