Mosharraf Hossain Bablu, president of Birganj Municipal Awami League in Dinajpur, has been expelled from the party for going beyond the party’s decision within the municipal elections. the knowledge was given during a handout signed by Dinajpur district Awami League general secretary Azizul Imam Chowdhury on Tuesday (January 5) afternoon.

Expelled Mosharraf Hossain Babul is currently the mayor of Birganj municipality. He was elected because of the mayor of Birganj municipality 18 months ago as a rebel candidate of the Awami League.
According to the handout, “Dinajpur district Awami League’s emergency meeting ignored and disobeyed the party’s decision within the upcoming elections in Birganj municipality against the boat symbol candidate Mosharraf Hossain Babul was unanimously expelled from all positions, including the party’s primary membership.”
The handout said, ‘At an emergency meeting of the chief committee chaired by Dinajpur district Awami League vice-president Alauddin at 12 noon on Tuesday, disregarding and ignoring the choice of the central Awami League, the boat symbol candidate, and Birganj Upazila Awami League acting general secretary Nur Islam Nur the choice to expel Awami League president Mosharraf Hossain Babul from all party posts, including the Birganj municipal Awami League president, was taken unanimously in accordance with the party’s constitution. This decision of the district Awami League has been informed to the overall secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. ‘
It is learned that Nur Islam Nur has been nominated because of the Awami League candidate from the middle in the Birganj municipality election. But disobeying and ignoring the choice of the Central Awami League, Mosharraf Hossain Babul took part in the election as a rebel candidate against the boat candidate.
The meeting decided to expel Mosharraf Hossain Babul from all party posts, including the Awami League president of Birganj municipality, as per the constitution, said district Awami League general secretary Azizul Imam Chowdhury.
In this regard, Musharraf Hossain Babul said, “I have won as a rebel candidate before.” At this point, I wanted the boat symbol with the party nomination, but I used to be not given it. People want me as mayor, so I’m getting elected. I will be able to take any decision of the team to urge the top.
