Bangladesh-India Virtual Summit has started. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina from Ganobhaban and therefore the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi from Delhi joined the meeting today (Thursday) at 11:30 am.

At the summit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed hope that India would play a crucial role within the global economy by tackling the Corona situation. He also thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking urgent action within the Corona situation.
The Chilahati-Halidabari route was inaugurated because of the 5th operational route of the India-Bangladesh railway route at the summit. An exhibition of paintings supported the biography of the daddy of the 2 nations (Mahatma Gandhi-Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) was also inaugurated.

India has said that the 2 Prime Ministers will hold a “detailed discussion” on the entire issue of bilateral relations during a virtual meeting.
Seven MoUs are signed between the 2 countries before the virtual meeting. A memorandum of understanding was signed at the state guest house the Padma around 9 am on Thursday. On behalf of India, the country’s diplomat in Dhaka Vikram Doraiswamy signed the agreements.
The terms of reference of the Bangladesh-India CEO Forum include cooperation in agriculture, outline on hydrocarbons, cooperation on elephant conservation, cooperation between Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and New Delhi Museum, the launch of High Impact Community Development Project, and development of Barisal Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding on Shopping.
