Narayanganj Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary Advocate Khokon Saha has filed a case under the Digital Security Act. Selina Hayat Ivy.
At noon on Monday (January 4), Mayor Ivy filed the lawsuit. Mayor Ivy’s lawyer Advocate Sirajul Islam confirmed that the court had accepted the plea of the case and directed the Criminal Investigation Department of the police to research and submit a report.

It is learned that a Canadian expatriate named Pradeep Das has also been accused within the case. He runs a YouTube channel called ‘Hindu Lives Matters’.
It is alleged within the case that the defendants Pradeep Das and Khokon Saha have spread false and bizarre allegations within the name of Ivy on the YouTube channel with the intention of causing social unrest and communal riots.
Citing the case, Mayor Ivy’s lawyer Adv. Sirajul Islam said the plaintiff within the case, Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy, appeared in court face to face and filed the complaint. Judge of the tribunal Mohammad Afsan Jaglul Hossain took cognizance of the allegation and directed the CID to research the matter and glued January 8 because of the next date for the case.
Meanwhile, if you would like to understand about the case, the overall secretary of the metropolitan Awami League, Adv. Khokon Saha said, ‘I have learned publicly that Ivy has filed a case against me. However, the case documents haven’t been received yet. After receiving the documents, I will be able to respond in this regard by discussing them in the party forum.
Add. Khokon Saha further said that not only me but also the leaders and workers of Awami League and its affiliated organizations and journalists have filed many cases against them before and Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy. In Narayanganj, those that have protested against his injustice and corruption are being harassed with one case after another to silence them. He has filed a case against me under the ICT Act. subsequent decisions are going to be taken after discussing with the leaders and workers of the party forum, said Adv. Khokon Saha.
