Inspector-General of Police (IGP) said. Benazir Ahmed said the blow to the constitution and therefore the state would be strictly resisted.
He issued the warning at a rally organized by the govt Officials Forum on Saturday (December 12th) morning to protest the vandalism of Bangabandhu’s sculpture. The rally was held at the Bangabandhu International conference house under the slogan ‘I will respect the daddy of the state, Mora Amlan’.

IGP said Bangabandhu means Bangladesh. Attacking him means attacking the constitution. Father of Freedom, Constitution, State, and Nation – No Body Can Touch Them. we’ll affect them. Bangabandhu gave the country, the flag, the map. Attack on him is an attack on the constitution and therefore the state. The state must affect it harshly consistent with the principles.
LGRD Ministry Senior Secretary and President of the Bangladesh Administrative Service Association also spoke at the meeting. Helal Uddin and representatives of 29 cadres of Bangladesh government officials. Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister presided over the meeting. Ahmed Kaikaus.
The speakers strongly condemned and protested against the heinous incident like vandalism of Bangabandhu’s sculpture. They reiterated their commitment to affect any conspiracy against Bangabandhu and to stay united against anti-independence and non-communal forces. The officials of the republic took the oath again to require Bangladesh forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by protecting the respect and dignity of Bangabandhu. The speakers involved ensuring exemplary punishment for the miscreants against Bangabandhu and therefore the country.
