Awami League leader Khoknuzzaman Masud has been expelled from the party for contesting Katakhali municipality elections in Rajshahi’s Paba Upazila ignoring the party’s decision. He has been expelled from all posts, including the first member of the party.

Thursday (December 17) Paba Upazila Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha. Yasin Ali signed the expulsion order. it had been said that the meeting of the chief committee of the Upazila Awami League was held last Tuesday. As per the choice of the agenda, Khokunuzzaman Masud, a member of the convening committee of Katakhali Municipal Awami League, has been expelled for violating party discipline.
Khoknuzzaman Masud may be a councilor of ward number four of the municipality. he’s the previous president of the Katakhali Municipal Juba League. Kathakali municipality election goes to be persisted December 28. the present mayor Abbas Ali is fighting with the boat after getting the nomination of Awami League.
Khoknuzzaman Masood said, “I do not know about the expulsion. I didn’t get any papers. ‘
