Mohammad Mozammel Haque Yasin, 33, a former BCL leader, was arrested while trying to urge employment within the government Engineering Department (LGED) under the guise of APS of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
He was arrested from the Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka on Wednesday (December 23) afternoon, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lalbagh Division of the Detective Police. Saifur Rahman Azad informed.
The arrested Mohammad Mozammel Haque Yasin was a member of the central committee of Chhatra League led by Sohag-Nazmul.
It is learned that Yasin wont to post pictures of crazy Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on his Facebook page every few days. He wont to write within the caption ‘Last address of love’. He has also posted a gaggle photo with the bridge minister for an extended time on the duvet photo of his Facebook ID. He wont to post pictures and say that he features a great friendship with the minister.
He is also accused of taking pictures with political figures and promoting them on Facebook, starting with senior police officials and other officialdom. He wont to visit various government departments and introduce himself as Assistant Private Secretary to the Minister of Bridges. And with this identity, he wont to share jobs, tenders, postings of state officials of various ranks. Besides, he wont to cheat by forging the signature and seal of the minister.
Md. Saifur Rahman Azad said that Yasin came to the chief engineer of LGED on December 21 and submitted an employment application to an individual named Main Uddin for the post of temporary work assistant. the appliance contains the advice of Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader. Yasin introduced himself because of the minister’s APS while submitting the appliance.
Mahmud Imam Morshed, the assistant chief engineer of LGED, said they were skeptical of the minister’s recommendation after receiving the appliance. Moreover, after submitting the appliance, Yasin was calling again and again with the identity of APS to offer the appointment letter.
The matter was then reported to the detective police, he said, adding that the detective police arrested him on Wednesday after a two-day investigation. This person is delivered to their office to form sure that it’s Yasin.
Saifur, a secret agent, said that additionally to forging the signature of the bridge minister, Yasin had also hired an outsized number of contractors within the fire service by introducing himself because of the APS of the minister. Besides the identity of APS, he wont to introduce himself because of the vice-chairman of Dhaka College Chhatra League, which isn’t correct. However, he was a member of the chief committee of the Sohag-Nazmul committee of the BCL.

A case has been filed against him at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police headquarters alleging fraud. he’s scheduled to be remanded in court on Thursday (December 24th).
In this regard, Gautam Chandra Pal, Private Secretary to the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, said that a DB police official called and informed about the fraudster at noon yesterday (Wednesday). We told that officer that Sir (Bridge Minister) named Mozammel Haque Yasin doesn’t have any APS. we’ve also asked the enforcement agencies to require action as per their rules.
