Bahauddin Nasim said maximum transparency is being maintained in forming committees and giving nominations to take care of party discipline. during this case, the central leaders liable for preventing the interference of ministers-MPs and leaders are monitoring all the time. Through this, efforts are being made to free the grassroots sphere of influence and provide responsibility to the worthy leaders within the right place. This effort will continue and thru it, the grassroots democratic base is going to be further strengthened.
He said if anyone goes beyond the party’s decision and participates within the election as a rebel candidate to defeat the Awami League candidate, disciplinary action is going to be taken against them as per the party’s constitution. Such Awami League leaders who had voted against Naukar within the previous elections haven’t nominated this point. it is a tough decision. and thru this decision, many deserving and popular people have also been bereft of the nomination of Awami League. If anyone does such a thing again, actions are going to be taken against him. We try our greatest till the day before the election to barter and compromise with the rebel candidates and this effort remains happening. Even after persuasion and coordination, maximum action is going to be taken against those that transcend the party’s decision and become rebellious candidates and don’t come to an agreement in any way.
There are allegations of Maiman violence in forming grassroots committees and central leaders or ministers-MPs trying to nominate the person of their choice in government elections. Asked about this, he said, “Awami League may be a people’s organization, so it’s natural that there’ll be many candidates to urge posts here.” Although in most places committees are formed on the idea of dialogue. therein case, the organizational secretary and therefore the joint general secretary responsible are constantly monitoring to stop the MP-minister-leader from trying to exert any influence. Earlier, only MP-ministers intervened within the formation of grassroots committees, but now it’s seen that in some places leaders also intervene. In these places we coordinate and if necessary the central leaders are present to make the grassroots committee and therefore the sphere of influence is freed by forming the committee.
