Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is presiding over the chief board meeting of the National Economic Council, which started at the NEC room within the capital on Tuesday (November 24) morning by virtually attending from Ganobhaban.
According to meeting sources, the Department of Roads and Highways will spend Tk 4,178 million on a five-year, 48-and-a-half-kilometer road development project with International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loan assistance. Besides, the design Commission has presented the Khurushkul Special Shelter Project worth Tk 1,333 crore and therefore the Pigeon Port Development Project worth Tk 1,024 crore for final approval at the 16th meeting of the financial year.
