Dhaka-5 MP Kazi Monirul Islam Manu has approved the committee of Awami League in Ward No. 67 in violation of the party constitution. Abu Ahmed Monnafi, president of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League, said the committee was illegal and would take action against those involved. However, Kazi Monirul Islam Manu demanded it from the development committee and said that the development that I will do will be done through them.

It is learned that Awami League candidate Kazi Monirul Islam Manu won the Dhaka-5 constituency within the by-election on November 12. Since then, the late Member of Parliament (MP) Habibur Rahman has been accused of trying to corner Mollah’s followers. Locals also complained that he was wanting to form an ‘MP League’ with the people of BNP-Jamaat. Although not within the constitution of the party, he has approved the committee of Awami League in ward no. 67 of Demra police headquarters. Abdul Aziz Pradhan has been made the convener of the committee signed by the MP on November 30. The four joint conveners were Joynal Abedin, Chan Mia, Nazir Ahmed Chowdhury, and Moazzem Hossain. Haji Samsuddin Khan has been made the member secretary. Three are made joint member secretaries. they’re Shahadat Hossain Mollah, Abdur Rob, and Azizur Rahman. Since the formation of this committee, there has been a backlash among the local Awami League leaders and workers.
In this context, Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Abu Muktijoddha Abu Ahmed Monnafi said, “I have received information about the approval of the Dhaka-5 constituency MP-67 ward committee.” An MP cannot approve the ward committee in any way. it’s unconstitutional and amounts to a breach of party discipline. In Dhaka metropolitan ward committee approval is given only by the president-general secretary of the metropolis and therefore the president-general secretary of the concerned police headquarters. Anti-constitutional work has been done here. Organizational measures are going to be taken. during this context, Kazi Monirul Islam Manu said, “Actually, it’s not an Awami League committee, it’s a development committee.” I will be able to do the event that I will be able to go through them. ”Asked about the Awami League written on the pad, he said that the writing was wrong.
