The ruling Awami League has called on those curious about the mayoral post to gather party nominations within the 64 municipal elections to be persisted January 30. Those interested are going to be ready to collect and submit nomination forms from the political office of party president Sheikh Hasina in Dhanmondi from Sunday, December 20 to December 24.

According to a handout signed by the party’s office secretary Biplob Barua on Friday, the presidents and general secretaries of the concerned districts, Upazilas and municipalities are going to be ready to purchase nomination forms in accordance with the constitution of the organization. Applications must be collected and submitted by the candidate himself or through a professional representative of the candidate in compliance with proper health protection rules and with none quiet public meeting. Candidates must bring a photocopy of the candidate’s national card while collecting the appliance form.
