Activists of the Jubo League and Chhatra League have been accused of attacking the campaign of BNP nominated candidate Taizul Islam in Singra municipal elections. Milon Hossain alias Rakib, the joint convener of the Municipal Chhatra Dal, was injured in the attack. The injured Milon is the son of Abul Kalam of Ningain mahalla.

The locals rescued him and admitted him to Singra Health Complex. BNP nominee Taizul Islam lodged a written complaint with the Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer on Sunday evening.
It has been alleged that Jubo League and Chhatra League activists carried out the attack when they went to make public contact in the Ningin area of ward number seven of the municipality on Sunday afternoon.
Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samirul Islam confirmed the truth of the written complaint.
