The full committee of the Barisal Metropolitan Awami League has been approved. A 75-member committee of the Barisal Metropolitan Awami League was approved on January 1 with AKM Jahangir as president and city mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah as general secretary. General Secretary Obaidul Quader approved the committee on the instructions of party president Sheikh Hasina.

This information was given within the handout sent by the overall secretary of Barisal Metropolitan Awami League Sadiq Abdullah at 9 pm on Sunday.
The 11 vice-chairmen of the committee are Advocate Afzalul Karim, Advocate KBS Ahmed Kabir, Panel No. 1 Mayor Gazi Naimul Hossain Litu, Anwar Hossain, Amir Hossain Talukder, Barisal Sadar Upazila Chairman Saidur Rahman Rintu, Engineer Hemayet Uddin Khan, Nazrul Islam Ahmed Babul, Abul Farooq Humayun, and former MP Jebunnesa Afroz.
The joint general secretaries are Hasan Mohammad Babu, Kazi Munir Uddin Tariq, and Advocate Golam Sarwar Rajib.

Chan Mia, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Advocate Rafiqul Islam Jhantu, Women’s Affairs Secretary Professor Shahnaz Parveen Mita, Liberation War Affairs Secretary AMG Kabir Bhulu, Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary Md. Saiful Islam, Secretary of Education and Human Resources. Masud Khandaker, Industry and Commerce Secretary Nirab Hossain Tutul, Labor Secretary Kaiser Hossain Shipon, Cultural Secretary. In the letter signed by Obaidul Quader, it had been said that each one the newly elected members of the committee will strive to perform their duties with devotion, discipline, and honesty, and with the united efforts of all will make Barisal Metropolitan Awami League a stronger, well-organized and powerful organization.
Although the committee was formed through a conference on Immaculate Conception, 2019, it took 13 months to approve the committee thanks to the suspension of political activities across the country thanks to the Corona epidemic.
