With no political resistance, large development projects within the final stages of implementation – the Awami League is comfortable and carefree even within the third term. there’s no big pressure on the govt. But even then, political analysts believe the govt will need to face a variety of important challenges within the New Year. These challenges include:

Corona vaccination: the most important challenge for the present government within the New Year is to make sure corona vaccination. However, Bangladesh has entered into a tripartite agreement to import the Oxford vaccine from India. But there are only a few people that believe that India will vaccinate in time. If Bangladesh doesn’t get the corona vaccine within the next month in a symbolic way, then such pressure is going to be placed on the govt.
Handling the economic crisis: Europe and America within the second wave of the Corona. And its impact is well felt in our apparel industry. Moreover, the wave of the worldwide crisis in Corona is additionally hitting Bangladesh. So tackling the depression may be a big challenge for the govt.
Problems of immigrants: Immigrants in danger thanks to corona. Many migrants are stuck in Bangladesh. Creating jobs abroad and sending back migrants may be a big challenge for the govt.
Anti-Corruption Campaign: it’s a challenge for the govt to require the anti-corruption campaign launched by the govt last year to a logical conclusion. The people of the country want to ascertain the punishment of the corrupt. this is often what the govt must make visible this year.
Anti-government propaganda through social media: For the past few days, the opposition has been vocal through social media. Their propaganda is creating various illusions within the minds of the people. So stopping anti-propaganda through social media may be a big challenge for the govt.
The government has got to meet its election promises by meeting of these challenges.
