Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed said arrangements would be made to send 1,000 people abroad from each Upazila. He made the remarks during a handout on the occasion of International Migrants Day at the Prabasi Kalyan Bhaban in Eskaton within the capital on Friday (December 18th).

Imran Ahmed said that forty technical training centers (TTCs) are within the process of being put up. we’ve sent 71 more TTC proposals. Once these 71 passes are passed, we’ll send proposals for an additional 100 TTCs in order that we will found out one TTC in each Upazila. consistent with the election manifesto of the Awami League, we’ll make arrangements to send one thousand people from each Upazila abroad.
The Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment added that at the start of March, it had been said that a minimum of a million people would return from abroad. 1 million people but didn’t return. As far as I do know, 3 lakh 76 thousand people have returned to the country. About 70 to 80 percent of workers coming back from Saudi Arabia and therefore the United Arab Emirates have already returned to figure.
“I can say something positive about remittances,” he said. We are far ahead within the current state of remittances. We are three billion dollars before last year in November this year. the truth is that if workers stop going abroad, if everyone comes back, then surely this momentum won’t be there. We feel it too. If we all work together then there’ll be no problem.
Referring to sending workers to Jordan, the minister said that Jordan’s Classic Garments will take a complete of 12,000 workers from our country in December and January. Two thousand garment workers are going to be hired in December and 10 thousand in January. there’s more demand for hiring workers abroad.
